Swedish Collage using Starving Artist Stamps!

>> Wednesday, October 1, 2008

Have you ever heard of a "swedish collage"? It's a style of cardmaking very popular in... you guessed it... Sweden. The style of these Swedish cards is super fun. bright and colorful, lots of layers, bold patterened paper, you get the idea. It's also common to use bold embellishments on the cards like buttons, chipboard, etc. And Starving Artist Stamps has made a challenge to make one of these cuties. All entries get put into a drawing and 1 random lucky winner gets to pick out a sheet of starving artist stamps! But hurry - the deadline is today!

Well here is my first swedish style card. It may not be as "random" as it's supposed to be. I tend to balance things out a little too much. But i till had a lot of fun making this card.

Here's some more deets to my card...

Cardstock: bazzill textured in Apricot
Patterned Paper: various patterns from Basic Grey's Baby Boy line.
Stamps: Starving Artist Urban Set (robot and rocket); star border from Close to My Heart's Shining Star
Coloring: Copic Markers
Embellishments: Button by bazzill; chipboard alphas by TLC
