Summer is in FULL SWING around here! If i'm not busy with brides, bridal portraits or weddings, we are at the POOL! I'm actually a little bit thankful that our preschool didnt have an option for the kids this summer. I was panicked for a little bit, but getting a pool membership has been awesome! And I've just hired babysitters when needed (man, they are so much easier to find in the summer!) so it's worked out great!

The downside to all this poolness is my craft time! But i'm sure you've had those summer days too! Now if i could just get my craft room cleaned up... maybe, just maybe my crafting time would run a little bit more smoothly! haha!

Ok, back to the purpose of the post, i DO have a card for you! Today Paper Makeup Stamps has a free digi for you!

I had fun playing with this digi. You know what I like about wordart... you can really get your message across to the card's recipient and you can create a card lickity split which in the summer seems to be all the time i have! :D Another big bonus with digi wordart is you can size it to really fit your needs!

Now aint that the truth! I have seen so many times lately people falling out of things. Whether it's professions, relationships, etc. Truth be told... being truly successful at anything is HARD! It's hard work! But if you have determination and perserverence to work thru it all, you will succeed. Thats how i feel in life these days. I have worked my hind end off in years past... but this year i'm busier than i've ever been but i'm in love with my life! So stick with it! Whatever "it" is! There is bounds of fruits and glory there for you!

a PMS card for fun!

To say i've been overwhelmed with work might be putting it mildly lately!

I guess it's not that I cant handle the work load, it's just that as I figure out a good schedule with myself, working, the stamp company, the boys, my husbands schedule, etc, well, crafting for fun seems to come last. Ah, we all know how it goes!

But this card I actually made some time last month and I just remembered I never posted it!

This uses the sentiment from Friendly Flowers from Paper Makeup Stamps and some old Daisy Bucket paper I had lying around.

I love how a good wordart can just make a card with some pretty paper stand out so much. I truly heart this card!

Soon some of my cards will be available for purchase at a local boutique in town. Fun huh? I'm totally selling for store credit because everything is AMAZING there!

Word Art Wednesday! It's free!

Here's what i decided to do with it...

For starters, i really love the look of airbrushing a quote when it's still in the nestabilties die. I mean, it's that white edge that actually sold me on getting all of the nesties. I like the idea of embossing them, but this i loooove! Granted you would think a white mat would do the same, but this looks so much cooler to me! Anyhoo, thats where i started. I also knew i wanted to do a scrapbook layout of this picture of my hubby and I. Its my favorite picture of the 2 of us together. Maybe it's because i'm skinny. hahaha. Actually, it's from my birthday party at our favorite bar in Burbank. So there are some fun memories behind it.

The quote I also knew i wanted to use with a picture of my hubby and I because he truly is my best friend. We may spat as all couples do from time to time, but he truly does make me want to be a better person. I know i have my flaws, we all do. But he looks past them. Ok, he gets annoyed with them, but he tells me he's annoyed! I like that about him. So then i can go about trying to better myself. Not just to please him, but to be a better person. So, yeah, now that i'm all mushy... haha... the layout is pretty simple. I knew i wanted to frame it and too many layers would make it not fit into the frame. I stuck with all brown tones to match the sepia of the photograph.

Thats all i have for today... or at least the moment. I'm still working on gathering up stuff to put on the sell list! With any luck that will go up a little later today! :)

A freebie digi from PMS

Happy Friday everyone! I have no idea where my week went! You'd think this week would move slowly since a lot of my friends have children that started school this week and my boys are still home with me. I'm still not sure how i'm going to feel come September when Jack starts to go to school everyday! Granted its only for 3 hours a day, but still!!!!! He's not my baby anymore!
But no, this week went by fast! I cant believe it's already the weekend! And for once, this weekend i dont have to work! AHHHHHHH.

There is a freebie wordart again from Paper Makeup Stamps. This one was created by me. In the mode i'm in of trying to find myself, i'm also realizing, that purging things (i.e. getting rid of my pack rat stash of um, everything!) and making life simpler is truly a wonderful thing. So when i stumbled upon this quote by Leonardo da Vinci in my quote book, I thought it was perfect!

i digi scrapped again!

I am on a roll! This is more scrapbooking than i'm done in ages (and thats pretty sad since that's what got me into this mad world of paper crafting!). I keep telling myself i'll scrap more, and then i wont have the pictures printed, or something, and it doesnt happen. Well, at least thats not an excuse i can have with digi scrapping!

My layout today is actually very simple. I got my digi kit for free from Digiscrap Freebies. My true reason behind doing a digi layout today was i wanted to try out one of the PMS wordart digis on a digi layout to see how it would work. To my great delight, it was easy and turned out fab! We like easy! The png file makes layering it a snap. (if you when you purchased a wordart previously and the download was not a png file but rather a jpeg file and you would prefer png, just send me an email and i'll send the other file to you!).

Whats more is that there is a FREE digi wordart up on the PMS blog today! And it's the one i used on this layout! Go check it out!
