PMS Digi Makeover Challenge #62

>> Monday, November 5, 2012

Holy cow there was a lot of participation last week in the digi challenge!  So much that I couldnt just not play this week!  I hope the winner enjoys her new digis!  It's that easy to play along, just use a digi and also our challenge for the week.  It does not need to be a paper makeup stamps digi.  I'm a little partial to them myself.  hehe.

This week's challenge is to create a thank you card.  These are the cards I reach for most in my stash so I can always use extras.

Here I have one of the PMS fairies named Melody and a sentiment from the Everyday Thanks set (which was added to the site as a digi set just for this challenge!)

Be sure to check out the company blog for more samples from the PMS design team!

I am still alive...

>> Monday, October 1, 2012

Well, i haven't fallen off the face of the earth, though in terms of crafting I sure have!
PHEW is all I have to say!  I have just been SLAMMED busy with work.  I am not at all complaining!
Wedding season around here is in full force and between my bookings and the bookings of my artists on my team... well i have just stayed extremely busy.  THat and my boudoir photography has really taken off so thats definitely exciting!  Still, i miss crafting and I really need to carve out some time in my schedule for it!

Since tomorrow is the first day of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, I decided to create a card accordingly!  And since it's monday and another Digi Makeover challenge day, I used Michelle's fabulous sketch for my inspiration!

Here is my card!

I used one of the floral images from the Faith Hope Love digi set.
I typed the Hope word using one of my new favorite commercial fonts!  Keep your eyes peeled for more word art with this font in the future!

Well, i'm pooped after wedding mania this weekend and I'm just proud i squeaked a card in there, but my eyes are beyond heavy and tomorrow I have a meeting in the morning, a bridal consult and then a photoshoot in the afternoon so i better get to bed!    So glad for auto posting!  :D

PMS release in review

>> Wednesday, August 8, 2012

Yesterday there was a new digi release of word arts from Paper Makeup Stamps.  I'm pretty proud of this batch as I was trying out a new style for PMS.  They make me happy, and after all, thats all that really matters, right?!

Here is my card using one of my favorite mottos of all time!

My cards don't often have an exact destination once making them but this one definitely does.  This has been one of my BFF's since oh, the womb, and my motto from long ago.  The colors on this card are her favorite color combo as well so i'm sure she will love it.  :D

Now as I mentioned in a previous post this week, i feel like i'm in an awful rut with card layouts.  So i did what i always do when i need a little card making inspiration... I went over to Julee's blog or the Mojo Monday challenge blog to get a better layout!  I LOOOOOOVE Julee's layouts!  I pretty much just stuck to the basics on this one.  I was going to embellish it a bit more, but quite frankly, i forgot.  Ah well!

Be sure to check out the PMS blog for other team members flabby cards today!

PMS digi makeover challenge #47

>> Monday, July 30, 2012

WOOOPS!  I fell asleep early last night snuggling in bed with my 6 year old and I just woke up realizing, i never make my post last night!  So sorry this is a bit late for those that like to check early in the am.  I'm sure that honestly, no one really cares that my post is late.  haha!

Today's challenge for the digimakeover is "Endless Summer"!  Which is just PERFECT since last tuesday we released a special digi set in honor of own of our design team member's Jen Scull that is all about SUNSHINE!  It truly is coincidental!  The digi set will have ALL proceeds go directly to Jen and her family.  You can read all about Jen's Sunshine on the company blog or by clicking THIS LINK.

And now here is my card for an Endless Summer!

And now i have to jet to a doctor's appointment so i will leave it as i colored with copies and used October Afternoon paper!

Jen's Sunshine, a charity stamp for my friend

>> Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Today, Paper Makeup Stamps is releasing a charity digi stamp set for one of our design team members.  Before I simply type the same post all over again, I will direct you to the PMS company blog.

Did you read it?  Jen has been such a sweet sweet team member and fan of PMS before she ever was a team member.  I was heartbroken when I learned the news of her breast cancer.  Not heart broken for myself, but heart broken for her and her family.  As she continues treatment, I know that the financial struggle must be, well, a struggle!  I really hope that you take a moment to check out the new digi stamp set.  ALL proceeds will be going directly to Jen and her family.

Here is my first card made with this set...

When I first asked Diem if she would illustrate a matching sunshine to the Jen Fairy, i didnt realize it would be the CAHUTE!  I love love love this sunshine.  it lights up my face!
I do want to give a shout out to MÃ¥ns Grebäck who gave me a pretty good deal on a font bundle since there were too many of his awesome fonts for me to purchase each one separately.  You ROCK, MÃ¥ns!

I printed the sunshine out on Copic XPress It cardstock and colored with Copic markers (Specifically, Y13, Y15, Y19, YR04, YR07, YR09, YR02) and then cut it out.  I layered papers from American Crafts (ones from the PMS Will to Daydream kit!) and used some ribbon by Stampin' Up.

Now please please please go leave JEN some love and buy this super fun set!

PMS Digi Makeover Challenge

>> Monday, July 23, 2012

What is YOUR favorite holiday?  Well making a card for your favorite holiday is exactly what we were challenged with for this week's Digi Makeover challenge at PMS.

I had a hard time deciding what my favorite holiday is!  haha!  I guess i just love to celebrate.  I love to decorate.  I love the excuse to wear silly socks, eat candy and cookies.  I like to act like a kid.
Birthdays, Christmas even valentine's day and halloween.  All fun!

but then i really started to think... ok.. if i had to narrow it down to one... whats my favorite.
Then I got a little sappy, and thought about my kiddos (who are currently in another state, visiting my parents for a week) and i thought... ya know... i just really love being around family at Christmas time.
I really love the surprise and excitement over the entire christmas holiday.  not because of the gifts you get (honestly, i like to give them more than I like to get them) but just the warmth and love of Christmas.  So obviously... i need to make a christmas card.
Then i remembered a PMS stamp... it's one of my favorite movie lines of all time.
I knew exactly what to do for my card.  :D

I used the What If Christmas along with one of the images from the Framed set.
I love digis because i was able to make these work perfectly with each other!  :D

Be sure to check out the company blog for more samples BUT also make sure to come back tomorrow (I know, 2 posts in a ROW) but i have a very very special post about someone near and dear to my heart and a NEW digi set being released just for her!!!  You won't want to miss it!

Well fiddlestix!  You cant be gone a day!  haha!  I had my post scheduled to go since I was traveling, and apparently it didnt post!  So here we go!  Trying again!

It's another Monday so another day for a PMD digi makeover challenge!
Ironically, last week was the monochromatic challenge.  In my effort to be ahead, a few weeks ago I colored a bunch of images so that after a long wedding weekend, I could grab an image and make my card.  I even thought ahead and colored my monochromatic image!  AND THEN I FORGOT!  hahahahaha!  So i made my card for the monochromatic challenge and plum forgot i already had a colored image.  Ah well.  I used it this week!

This week we were challenged to use some dimension on our cards using digis.  Here is what I came up with!

This is Moody for Rock colored with Copic Markers R00, R20, R21, R22, R24, R59)
Here is a side view.  I only cut out Miss Moody herself leaving the droplets behind her.  :D

Be sure to check out the company blog to see more awesome samples from the design team!

PMS Digi Makeover Challenge, Monochromatic

>> Monday, July 9, 2012

Anyone who knows me, or has followed my blog for a bit knows that i absolutely LOVE monochromatic!  So when the challenge leader, Michelle Van Patten, issued the challenge to use monochromatic colors so way on our cards for this weeks challenge, i was THRILLED!
You can see more monochromatic-ness i've done by clicking on the label monochromatic.

And here is my card for today...

I used a new to digi (but one of the first fairy images for rubber) Emma.
And since i was using her in a digi form, I decided to enlarge her a bit, but then cut off her legs so that the image was a little more about her sunny disposition on her face.  Though i really love her little rain boots so it was a bit painful to not include them.  haha!
I also used the sentiment, a cloudy day.

The image was colored with the topic marker cool greys and then the rain and wings were drawn over with a glitter pen.  How could you not smile if you lived in a world where it rain glitter! (please refrain now from breaking into the Ke$ha song in your head like i just did... and if you did, i apologize!)

Now be sure to go on over and check out the company blog to see samples from the challenge team!

Digi Makeover Catch Up!

>> Monday, July 2, 2012

Its Monday, so it's time for another Digi Makeover Challenge, but wait... i never got my card from LAST week posted!  HAHA!  I was having some internet issues, so I did get my card sent via phone to Michelle who posted it on the company blog, but I just realized it never was posted over here!
Last week was so crazy, I was on 2 production jobs, so between those, home life and other work related this and thats, well, i guess i just never realized it wasnt posted.  Better late than never, right?

So here is my card from last week!  I used Wally monster.  I just love that guy!
The papers are from one of our old card kits, Will to DayDream.  (manufacturer, American Crafts)

And now into this week's challenge... to make an Easel card!

Here is my card duo...
The great this about easel cards is that there are a lot of things you can do with them!
In this case, I created cards but put my boys teachers names on the base.
The names were printed with my favorite font (you might notice it's the same one I use for Paper Makeup Stamps!) and the digi is While We Teach.

The inside has a sweet thank you note from the everyday thanks set (actually hand stamped in this case as it was a last minute though and I had already glued down my paper!)

Be sure to check out the company blog for more great samples!

PMS Digi Makeover Challenge

>> Monday, June 18, 2012

It's another Monday and another day for a PMS digi makeover challenge!
I was so thrilled to see so many participants in last week's challenge!  Remember you do not have to use a PMS digi to play, any digi will do.  But of course i love seeing those PMS digis!  hehehehe.  Shameless plug.  :D

This week, our digi team coordinator, Michelle, challenged us to a Things with Wings challenge.  Wll good gravy there are a lot of PMS stamps with wings so it was hard to even choose an image to play with!

In the end I decided on Nell Fairy.  And again, this was previously not a digi on the site and just a rubber stamp so I decided to add it to the shop along with Carma and Wayne from the same release.  :D  You can see the latest digi adds HERE.

Here is my card...

My sentiment is from the Raindrops and Rainbows set but this sentiment is also available solo here.

Papers are all from Daisy Bucket (an older collection, i'm in a desperate attempt to use UP paper that i've hoarded rather than buy new!) And the image was colored with copic makers (R00, R30, R32, R35, R37, R39, E00, E21, E23, E25, E27, B000, B00, B02, B04, YG11, YG13, YG17)

Be sure to check out the Company Blog to see if you won last week's challenge (if you played!) and to see she awesome samples from the team members this week AND to enter to win this week's challenge!

Thanks for dropping by!

Digi Makeover Challenge from Paper Makeup Stamps!

>> Monday, June 11, 2012

I'm back from my hiatus!  Sorry i've missed the past couple of weeks in the digi makeover challenge.  Just so much going on around here!  And then last week my good friend Ginger came down with the flu.  She and her husband both!  So I took her boys (ages 18 months and 4 months) and kept them for sunday and monday and kinda forgot that i made my craft room into their bedroom while they were here!  Whoops!

Anyhoo - this week's challenge we are seeing spots!  Spots of any type will do!
And your only other requirement for the challenge is to use a digi stamp.  It doesn't have to be a PMS stamp, but you know we love to see 'em if you've got 'em!

Here is my card...

I used the Freckled Lemonade digi set (newly added to the site as a digi, though there are still some rubber sets available!)

The paper used it all from Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday and I used copic markers to color the image and the corduroy button is a past in color button from Stampin Up in pacific point.  It's not NEARLY as blue in person as it is on the card.  Ah, don't you know what photography can do!  hahahaha.  Ah well, it matches in person.

Be sure to check out the Paper Makeup Stamps company blog for more inspiration from the digi team!

It's time for another PMS digi makeover challenge!

This week, Michelle wanted us to be inspired by the photo below...

The first thing i saw in this photo was the blue bird in the top left corner of the quilt.  I new instantly that I wanted to use the Tweet Things set.  Which, up to this point hadn't been released in digital form yet.
Well, i'm not the owner for nothin'!  So I added it!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!
You can find this new to digi set, here!

Here is my card!

I colored my hummingbird with copies B21, B24, B26 and B26.  I cut the bird and sentiment (also front the set) out with spellbinders dies.

There are a few left of this set in rubber if you want to get it with the closeout price!

Be sure to check out the Company Blog for more awesome samples from the digi artists!

It's another fantabulous Monday with Paper Makeup Stamps and we have another digi makeover challenge for you!  This week we've been challenged to use a sketch for our card!  I really wanted to use Moody for Showers which isn't available on the PMS site yet as a digi.  Lucky for me, i'm the owner so I just added it to the site so I could use it on my card today!  haha!  Yu can find this new digi HERE!

And now here is my card for today!

PMS Digi Makeover challenge

>> Monday, April 23, 2012

Phew... I don't know about you, but April is kicking my tail!
I'm very sorry i've been gone the last 2 challenges from PMS and in turn, not made a single post on my blog.  I'm still trying to find a balance between work, my boys and crafting and aside from packing stamp orders, the actually crafting side gets to come last in the grand scheme of things.

But today Michelle challenged us to make a birthday card and i can ALWAYS use a birthday card so I made sure to participate this week, even if it is a simple card.

Ahh... the glorious thing about digis!  I took the Another day word art and enlarged it so that it could be a true focal point of the card.  But i still felt like it missed something, so I layered Lar's Gifts behind it and changed the opacity so it would just be a shadow image.  After that, well the card is pretty much a snap to put together.  :D

Be sure to check out the PMS company blog for more great inspiration from the team!!!!

Ack, my post didnt post!

>> Monday, April 2, 2012

Ugh, my post scheduled for today was actually a draft! I hate it when that happens!

Anyhoo - here is my Digi Makeover Challenge post! Late, but better late than never!

Our digi team leader, Michelle, gave us a super fun challenge this week!
It's called a tic tac toe challenge!

Here is what it looks like...
Now you pick your line of 3 and run with it! How fun! I've never actually seen a challenge like this so i thought it was such a refreshing idea!

I chose to go with Fairy, Sparkle and Flowers!

Unfortunately in my photo you can't so much see the sparkle but she is glitzed out with stickles and then the chipboard flowers are coated in glitter as well. :D Plus a but of bling on the card as well. :D

So thats it! Check out the Paper Makeup Stamps blog for more inspiration and to get in on the challenge!

I'm back!

>> Monday, March 26, 2012

Well, weddings are in full swing in these parts of the country and not that i've been an avid poster as of late anyway, but I'm sorry i had to miss last weeks digi makeover challenge post. Things just got crazier than I had anticipated! Since my business tripled last year (NOT complaining!) i'm still trying to figure out how to balance home life with work life with crafting (my time!) life! It's hard!

Anyhoo - you don't want to hear about all that SOOOO, here is my card for this weeks Digi Makeoever Challenge!

This week the digi challenge team was challenged to created a card for a boy. Easy enough! My life is surrounded by boy things! Its part of what made me want to start a stamp company to begin with! I needed more girlie things to play with, AND I never could find the boy stamps to play with when i needed them! SO I knew if i started my own company, i could have my fairies and girlies ideas come to life, but i definitely needed a world of monsters!
My card today uses Eyepod... one of my all time favorite monsters. He's so fun!
I simply typed my sentiment and printed it out. :D

Be sure to check out the PMS company blog for more inspiration for this challenge!

Another Digi Makeover challenge

>> Monday, March 12, 2012

HOLY MOLY! I don't know that I have been this tired in a long time! For those who like hearing about my makeup artist adventures read this paragraph and those who could care less can just skip down to the next paragraph/ :D On thursday I had 2 photoshoots, 1 that i did the makeup and the other that i did both makeup and photography. Friday I had another makeup and photoshoot (this time of a mom (makeup) and baby! so excited for those to edit!) and bridal consult and then this weekend I had a bridal portrait makeup, and 2 additional weddings and bridal consult saturday and then a wedding and bridal consult today. My brushes are just about maxed out but good thing not entirely because i have makeup for a photoshoot at 6:30 am tomorrow! PHEW!

But that didn't stop me from doing my challenge card for the Digi Makeover challenge!
Our challenge leader Michelle has challenged us this week to use Critters on our cards. Now they do not need to literally be from the PMS retro cutie critters collection (though mine is) but any animal will do. Here is my card!

Given the short time span I had this past week and weekend... i opted to enlarge the digi image so it would be the focal point of the card. I didn't even fuss with layers and decorative paper! I just thought a pretty pink ribbon would be enough!

I used Olive from the retro cutie critter collection and a sentiment from the So Sweet set.
Olive was colored using copic markers.

Be sure to check out the Company blog to see what some of the other design team members have come up with!

Spring into a PMS blog hop!

>> Wednesday, March 7, 2012

It's the 7th! So it's time for another Paper Makeup Stamps blog hop!
You should have hopped on over here from the company blog, but if you are a subscriber, you might want to go and check it out. We have 2 awesome ways to win with this hop!
1 is to leave comments on the blogs in the hop and the other is to join in!
So go to the company blog to read the details and get started!

And now here is my Spring Inspired card for you...

This is Caliope with a flower. I heart this stamp. Just looking at it makes me smile.
I've paired it with one of my favorite sentiments that PMS has. It reads "you make this world a better place". I honestly can't think of a better compliment than that and would be most honored if anyone sent me a card that said it!

I colored the image with copic markers (Caliope is R81, 83, 85 and 89 for those who may be wondering!)

Now it's time to hop along your spring filled journey to Britt's amazing blog! I must say that britt FLOORS me with her cards week after week for the digi makeover challenge! So i cant wait to see what she has in store for us today!!!

DigiMakeover Challenge: Clean and Simple

>> Monday, March 5, 2012

Monday monday...... bah dah, dum dum dum dah
That would be me singing Mamma's and the Papa's.

Anyhoo - it's monday and that means it's time for another Digi Makeover Challenge.
Today, Michelle challenges up to create a clean and simple card!
Lately i've been loving the CAS cards... so this was right up my ally! AND I am in the need of a card to take to my sweet friend and former PMS paper makeup artist, Ginger Schwerin. She just had a baby and I've been DYING to get over there to see him!

Here is my card...

I used Baby Jamie Silhouette along with the Congratulations on your new addition digital word art.
Again, I love using digs for changing the size as I made the word art larger on this card than the rubber stan version, but the true reason of the digi stamps reign on this card is the silhouette stamp. Sometimes solid stamps can be such a pain to ink up evening. A digi stamp just print crisp and solid. And i love that!

Be sure to check out the team's cards and their amazing CAS creations today on the Company Blog!

My Time Made Easy: Spreading Spring Cheer

>> Friday, March 2, 2012

WHEW! Sorry my post is a bit late going up.... my internet was down all afternoon yesterday, BLEH! and I finally gave up at about 12:30. I just couldn't keep my eyes open! Luckily for me, i awoke to that lovely blue light on my router! WOOHOO!

Well, if you didn't already know... the March release for My Time Made Easy is live and available for purchase on the website. Today some of the design team members are showing off more projects using the new templates, papers and digi stamps.

Here is my project just using a part of the template Well Contained. I'm only using the base/holder of the template for this project. View THIS POST to see my project using both pieces of this template.

Here is my project complete together with the candle i purchased for inside. For the record... i don't recommend using paper products as candle holders. This is just as a gift holder. :D

I used paper from the Spreading Spring Cheer printable paper pack. And since i'm not exactly a spring time color person, i used a dark grey card stock as my base. There are some greys in both of these papers chosen (lighter greys than my card stock) but I thought they would play together well and still have a me element in there. I'm hopelessly addicted to grey. haha!

Here is a shot without the candle inside...
I used paper to line the entire inside of the template including the base. I thought this gave a nice pop of color behind the candle and also made it able to serve for another purpose after the candle is removed.
Here is a quick shot of the back. You might notice since I used one of the oval digi stamps from the Round and Round set on the front. Prior to cutting, i actually removed the the oval cut out from the template using my SCAL software, but i still felt like the back was a bit drab in comparison to the bright colors of the front, so I used more of the gorgeous butterfly paper from the pack to also cover the back.

OK... now check out these fine and fabulous ladies and their awesome creations today!

My Time Made Easy: Spring is Here!

>> Thursday, March 1, 2012

Spring is HERE! Well, at least it almost is and it sure feels like it around South Carolina!

Today is the new release day for the latest My Time Made Easy!

Today I'm showing off the new template Round and Round...

I also paired this with the Round Off digi stamp set which has lots of fun oval shapes and different sentiments to perfectly fit inside!

Here's an opened view of my package...
And then one more shot of the package empty.... because Lauren thinks of it all! She made sure to design this template so that it looks completely polished from outside and in! It works great to use double sided printed card stock (either that you create yourself using the pretty printable paper packs or other good quality card stock. Mine here is October Afternoon. Check back tomorrow for some using the newest paper from MTME!

Be sure to check out the entire design team and their amazing creations today!
