I finally found it!

>> Tuesday, February 23, 2010

My camera! hahaha! My camera often goes missing in my house as my VERY soon to be 4 year old loves to take pictures! I've been hunting for days.... and i finally found it! Ok, so this time it was in a coat pocket, completely not the kiddos fault! Now i'm missing the charger, go figure.

Those who know me, know that i LOOOOOOVE coloring in monotone particularly black and white. In fact, a long while ago i did a black and white copic coloring tutorial that you can see here.

Over the weekend i had the pleasure of teaching the copic munkies at Funkie Munkie Scraps.
I decided to revisit the idea of coloring in black and white but this time used the Cool grey copics.
here is what I came up with!

Although the card is simple (side effect of taking some time off, i always lose my mojo!)
I was please with how the card turned out.

My image is one of the Miss Anyas from The Greeting Farm and the sentiment is from an unloved set of mine from Stampin Up called From the Heart.
I also used my new big polka dot embossing folder from Quickutz. Thanks to Julee Tilman, i saw 1 card of hers using it and i did a quick online search to buy it!

Here's a closeup shot of the image....

Ok, thats all i have for you today! Now i have to jet to get some things in order for a certain someone's birthday tomorrow! :)

Quick and Easy Sunday

>> Sunday, July 26, 2009

Time for another lazy sunday! Actually - i plan on doing some crafting today if i'm lucky! Hubster has to work some, so i'm hoping that i may get to work on some projects! But as promised... Sunday's posts will be of quick and easy projects so you can be lazy the rest of your Sunday afternoons! :)

Today's project is tile coasters. They look stunning, but can take minutes to create! Now dont get me wrong, i've seen tile coasters that i know must have taken the creator ages! I've even made some of those myself... but not the ones i'm showing you today!

What you need:
Tiles (go to a shop store like Home Depot or Lowes and go to the tile aisle. You can buy them in singles in various styles. They usually cost between .25-.50 cents!
Staz On ink (this is important! You need a permanent ink to really stick to the tiles)
Acrylic Spray (i've done projects without it and this is ok if they are for decoration only, but if they will be used, you'll want to spray them to make sure the design doesnt get damaged)
Stamps of choice! - Swirls and decorative backgrounds look fantastic for the quick and easy. A simple swirl and then a word or quote and you're done!
Felt Feet - also optional but i highly recommend them to protect your table tops! I picked up a pack at the dollar store but you can also find them just about anywhere. I'm sure the hardware store you are buying your tiles at will have them.

Here is my quick and easy coasters...

I used the Barouque Motifs set from Stampin Up for this. Stamp the flourish from the set in 1 color (i chose black) and then the flowers from the set in an opposing color (i chose red) and then one of the words and you are suddenly done! And they'll look fantastic!

Now, Gina K made a fabulous tutorial on splitcoast on this whole technique. Her project is absolutely stunning and is a great way to see some different ways to stamp on coasters!

And thats it for my Sunday Quick and Easy post! Have a wonderfu lazy day!

Cards for a Good Cause!

>> Tuesday, May 19, 2009

Well, this past weekend came entirely too quickly! Remember like a month ago when i had started the cards for this glorious basket auction at my church? Well my "basket" needed to be done by this past sunday. YIPES! Suddenly i found it to be the saturday before and i had still only done my 1 card. So i worked on them on saturday and just made multiples of everything to fill the holder (that i made sunday morning!

I kept with the color scheme of the first card and primarily used all the same set (Thoughts and Prayers from Stampin Up). The color scheme was Close to Cocoa, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and white.

Here is a view of the holder...

And then here are the cards that are inside the holder... (one of them you've seen before, but i posted it again so just you could see them all in one place)

Each card is pretty self explanatory. The only stamp not from the Thoughts and Prayers set is the "miss you" sentiment which i got out of the clearance bin at AC Moore a long time ago and there is no information on the stamp as to which company it's from. Sorry.

I did use some cuddlebug embossing folders and my nesties for all the layers. Cant go a day in my paper crafting life without those! :)

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Basket Auction time again!

>> Saturday, April 18, 2009

If you've been a reader of my blog for a long time (well, since near the beginning!) you may remember last year around this time when i did baby cards for a basket auction at my church.  Well, it's basket auction time again!  This year I'm putting together another themed card basket only this time i'm only doing a color theme instead of like last years baby theme.  Gotta spice it up a bit!!!  Haha.  My goal is to make at least 12 cards for the basket.  I will also be making a stamp holder, altered notepad and a pen.  So you may get tired of this color combo from me in the next month!  haha.  I'll try to lump the cards together in posts.  So far though, i only have 1 card done!

I actually LOVE how this card turned out. I used my new nesties from my WONDERFUL friend Angela who was a secret sister friend in fabulous local group to me Fancy Paper Crafters. She got these for me along with a slew of other WONDERFUL things! She is such a wonderful friend!!!
I also used my new set from Stampin Up called Thoughts and Prayers. I will probably use this set quite a bit for the basket and just in general because it's a darn cute set!!!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by today!!!!

I'm on a roll

>> Tuesday, April 14, 2009

I'm on a roll with the card making, the blog posting, and even a little bit on the house cleaning! Can i get a WOOT WOOOOOOT! Ok, so i'm proud of myself. Though i'm still sick and now have thrush on the girlies from nursing a thrush mouthed baby. Let me tell you, it makes the girlies SORE! Ok, no one really wanted to know that!

This was a fairy simple card created by using the sketch from this caardvarks sketch challenge though i do have to admit, it is much more of a CASE from this card here by Heather Pulvirenti. I thought this card was so simple yet stunning that i just had to case it! Plus i needed a card to do at Chic Fil A last week, so this one was it!

Here's my card...

I used the largest stamp from the swirlie buds set from Paper Makeup Stamps and i realized i dont give this set enough love either! I colored the stamp with LePlume markers to get the bud a different color than the stem. The sentiment is from an old Stampin Up set (though i dont know which one, because i just have the stamp!

Thanks for stopping by today!

No camera wednesday

>> Wednesday, April 1, 2009

I can't find my camera! ANYWHERE! It's very frustrating. I just had it the other day. Where did it vanish to? Whats worse? I have projects to share!!! A gorjuss girl card (thanks to some stamped images from my dear friend Dawn to tide me over. And i have a fun punch art card that we did today at the chic fil a class. And there is more, but i digress. So instead i'm showing you a card i did at one of my close buds' stampin up parties. Typically i dont show these cards on my blog because i didnt design them. But I did love this card, and i did actually stamp it myself and cut it out and all that, so i'm showing it. But Molly designed it. :) And i cant link you to her blog because she hasnt joined the world of papercrafting blog land. I keep telling her she should.

Ok - the card!

I'm pretty sure the paper is bashful blue and chocolate chip. The set is a friend set. Shoot. I need to ask her the actual name! haha.

Ok, back to cleaning in hopes of finding my camera! :)

EtsyInspired Challenge #17

>> Saturday, December 27, 2008

Welcome back to another EtsyInspired saturday! This week's shop is Kiddlebug creations for kids and oh my word, i'm in love with the stuff from her shop! It's all so stinkin' cute! You just HAVE to check it out! BONUS - she is offering a onesie of choice to one lucky winner who enter's this challenge! What's to lose? You'll get a adorable card made (or other crafty item) and be entered for a chance to win! :)

I used this onesie (that i fell in love with the second i saw it.... i love whales!) Isnt it so sweet?! You can get it in a variety of sizes and it's a super soft wool patch that is bonded and side stitched onto a preshrunk tagless onesie. I'm already picturing Gabe in it. :)

And i created this card with my inspiration!

I used a whale image from a Stampin Up set that i dont even own, i just asked someone to stamp me out a plethera of the whales because i just love whales! I opted to NOT put a sentiment on the front of my card (*GASP*) which is actually something i've done quite a bit lately. Rather, i made a little inside scalloped oval with matte like the whale and put it inside so i can add the sentiment when i need to use the card (like "Get Whale Soon" or Birthday Fishes, etc. I like having the various options. :)

Now dont forget the rest of the fabulouso design team for this week's challenge!

the best of intentions...

>> Thursday, December 25, 2008

I had the best of intentions to post all kinds of things this week. I even had some stuff that i was going to post last week but i was so busy making the gifts that i didnt have enough time to blog!! So I thought, well at least i'll have some stuff to post even while i'm out of town. But that hasnt happened either! Woops! It's been a full full week thats for sure with lots of family time and stuff with the kiddos which is always nice.

Now it's christmas day and i'm enjoyed a little break since EVERYONE is on overload and has retreated to their own corners to either look at some goodies they got for christmas, or do a little baking, or feed the baby (thats me), or check their bank statements, etc. So that also means i have a little bit of time to hop on here and wish everyone a wonderful christmas! Dont forget what it's really all about today! here soon i think i'm going to have a slice of birthday cake (a tradition i started with my kids to keep the reminder of who's birthday it is).

Most of the photos i need to post are still trapped inside my camera. But i do that this little holiday treat that i actually made a week ago. And it was only for the mail lady so it isnt like i couldnt post it! But it's still a quick treat you can make for something if you arent seeing them until later today, tomorrow, or even over the weekend. Sorry the photo is not so good, i quickly took the picture while the mail lady was driving down the road on her way to my house!

First let me say i got this idea from Lauren Meader. I get a great amount of my gift ideas from her! Her blog is amazing. If you dont read it, i highly suggest it. Here's the link to how to make this template for this project...
Take any disposable coffee cup. Mine are from dixie and i bought a pack. You could also try to swipe an extra from a gas station i suppose. Or kindly ask when you get your next latte at starbucks. I just sort of free handed a pattern on the backside of some holiday patterned paper. It would have been better if i had 2 extra and could cut one apart to trace but this was fine. This is actually what Lauren does in her much better than mine tutorial. After adhering that i made a little slip over cover like they have at starbucks. I stamped the snowmen from the SU set Flakey Friends and colored them with copics.

Inside my cup i have 2 packets of cocoa mix and then 2 homemade "stirrers" I've heard these refered to these has many things. But they are just about the easiest things ever. Get popsicle sticks (i get mine from craft stores with all the wilton and other baking things), meltable chocolate (i love using the vanilla chips from the same section at the craft store), candy canes (or peppermints of any kind) and then when using the vanilla or white chocolate i like to get mini chocolate chips. Crush the peppermint candy and then lay the crushed pieces out on a plate and mix in the chocolate chips. Melt the vanilla chocolate in the microwave. Stick a large marshmallow on the end of the stick, dunk and roll in the crushed candy. and you're done! They are great to stir your cocoa or coffee, but pretty yummy to eat on their own as well.

EtsyInspired Challenge

Welcome back to another EtsyInspired Saturday! This is week number #15!! And ashley has picked a super etsy store for this week! Check out Purple Toes Jewelry and bonus she offering 3 different pairs of earrings to 3 lucky winners! Just think - a perfect christmas gift down! Or perhaps just a little gift for yourself!

I chose this adorable pair of earrings for my inspiration! Arent they super cute!!! I just love little monkey's anyway. But as i browsed her store the second my eyes says these little guys i just knew!!!! And as luck would have it, i needed to make a birthday card for one of Jack's friends, sooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Here's my card!

Isnt that little sock monkey cute!!! I love sock monkeys. This sock monkey is from a stampin up set. It even comes with extra add ons and what not. I only have some images of this cutie patootie so i colored in the hat and balloon and then cut them out to layer them on the first image. I used a cuddlebug folder (argyle) for my background, papertrey ink ribbon and arylic discs from Michael's for my embellishments.

Dont forget to check out the other EtsyInspired gals for their fantastic works!

Thank You to Alheimer's Caregivers

>> Monday, September 22, 2008

So my previous post talked about the best blog candy ever, ever, ever! And for a great cause, awareness of Alzheimer's. For those that didn't know this already, yesterday was National Alzheimer's awareness day.

The "challenge" to win this blog candy was to make a card for someone caring for an alzheimer's patient. The caretaker's for these patients go thru a tremendous amount of work and pain. And it is an all too often thankless job.

Here is my card. I put it together while both bpys were taking naps so i was a bit on borrowed time. I sifted thru my drawer of things that were done but not used before (this drawer will be used a lot in the next month or so i think!) If you dont have one of these drawers or baskets, i recommend it! It's so nice and helpful in moments of just not enough time. The only item i pulled for this card was my white cut out that i stamped my sentiment on. It was cut from my cricut using the Accent Essentials cartridge. It was originally cut for another project, but ended up not being the correct size. So into the drawer it went, and it was much easier to pull it out for this card, and not to get out the cricut and cut the paper for this project.

The card size is a bit odd... but it fits into a business size envelope. And i wanted to test out a card of this size. Spice up your business envie by adding some paper to the inside of the envelope! Ok, back the the card.

I used Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin Up) and stamped French Flair background (Stampin Up) in Juniper ink (Close to My Heart). I then added a bit of detail with my uni ball signio white gel pen. I also used my Juniper Marker (Close to my Heart) to ink up just 1 of the birds from the background stamp and then added some swirl detail with the white gel pen. On top of od the bird images i used Glossy Accents by Ranger. (which i got a mini bottle as a freebie just for shopping at creativeplaystamps They always give you a freebie of some sort! :)

Next i layered a bit of Groovy Guava cardstock (Stampin Up) - which also came from the drawer of precuts - and inked the edges with red rose chalk ink (Cat's Eye). My white daisy cardstock (close to my heart) cut out was inked with Amber Clay chalk ink (Cat's Eye) and stamped with the sentiment Thank You in Juniper Ink again, and also using the flowers and dotted circle from Friendship Blessings (Close to my heart). I used my slot punch (Stampin Up) and then wound some brown velvet ribbon thru it to adhere to the card.

And that my friends, is my card!

Super Challenge Entry

>> Wednesday, September 3, 2008

So i went to the doctor today - with Jack at 11 am because the office called to ask if i could bump my appt to earlier. This was not a fun trip. I was there for an hour and a half with a 2 year old! Not my idea of fun! Afterwords my kid was so hopped up on sugar from the treats i was giving him in hopes to keep him happy and quiet while we were there i thought i might have to lock him in his room!

Luckily he did finally crash and take a little nap. But seeing as the doctor had to put me on a heart monitor (baby's heart, not mine) to monitor if i was having any contractions, etc. I thought... well, i might as well get all of my challenges done in one fell swoop today while the jackster was napping! Thats when i came up with this baby! And i'm going to post it today instead of tomorrow because i want to get one last entry for the just rite challenge which i believe is over today.

So here is my Just Rite Bella Babe Rak! Gotta love when you can combo it all! :)

The Just Rite Challenge as you've already seen on my blog a few times in the past few days is from the Just Rite Stampers Blog. It includes anything you can think of using the Just Rite stamps! Possibilities are endless (if you have all their stamps!) i'm limited to the special occasions set and the special borders. This WILL be remedied as soon as one of my local stores gets some more of these babies in stock! I'm picking up the curlz font on friday!

The Bella Babe challenge was to simply use a bella and the colors lime green and pink.

So combo-ed the 2 to create this book mark! I used the From the Library Of border from Just Rite and Bookwormabella along with Simple Delights stamp set from Stampin Up. Cardstock is from PaperTrey Ink (spring moss and Berry Sorbet) and the ribbons are also from PaperTrey Ink.

OH - i almost forgot my third challenge! In my local scrapbooking and stamping group we have an ongoing RAK (random act of kindness) I was RAK'ed from the super fabulous Rachel of Stamp Happy so it was my turn to pass along a RAK myself. There is a another wonderful lady in my online group named Evelyn. She has always been so supportive of my endeavor's stamping and has taken my classes at the local stores so i wanted to create something for her. So i made this bookmark with her Monogram and plan to send it to her in the mail tomorrow. :)

So that was my super challenge for the day! Woohoo! I feel so accomplished!

Just Rite Entry for Wednesday!

Here's my Just Rite challenge entry for today!

It's a combo holder for my mom. I thought about giving it to her for her birthday (which is in the end of October, but it's always nice to be ahead of the game!) But she's coming to stay with me for a few weeks after the baby is born and it may just be a thank you gift! I'll owe her many thank you gifts, i'm sure!

The holder is created out of an 8.5x11 sheet of paper and i stamped the design using Baroque Motifs from Stampin Up. My mom LOVES red and Cream so those were my main colors. The Just Rite Monogram stamp in Special Occasions i stamped on Real Red cardstock with Versamark and then used Ranger Puffs embossing powder in white. This embossing powder is perfect because it isnt a true white so it matched my Colonial White cardstock perfectly! It also gives a great texture to the monogram itself.
The cards inside are made from Real Red cardstock with the same baroque stamp, only this time it was stamped in versamark and heat embossed with the same White Puffs cardstock. This time i left off the border from the monogram stamp and punched out the monogram with my 1 3/8ths punch and then layered a scalloped circle behind it with some chocolate grosgrain ribbon.

And now, only the box itself...

I used a pretty red satin ribbon that wraps itself all the way around the box. Under the monogram, i used bazzill magentic discs to keep the box nicely closed. But a simple lift of the ribbon and the magnets come "unstuck". These are great magnets as they dont take a ton of force to unclasp from each other so you're not tugging on your creation!
The box is slightly larger than just holding cards because my mom is a crazy picture lady! She always keeps double prints of photos nearby to pass along to other people who want a copy and her office is just covered in family photos! And quite often, people DO want a copy of pictures of her grandson (soon to be grandsons!) so i thought after she's used her cards, this would perfectly sit on her desk with her extra photos instead of the paper envie they come in from the photo place!

Thanks for stopping by again! Please feel free to leave a comment or question!

Baby Shower Thank Yous

>> Saturday, August 9, 2008

I stayed up a wee bit too late making baby thank yous. Ok, so i was chatting with a friend online at the same time otherwise i would have been done much earlier. Anyhoo - i wanted the cards to be cute, but simple. And they needed to be easy enough to do assembly line style and not cost too terribly much per card. I had yet to use my Sweet Thing set by Stampin Up (how often do you hear me say that... hehe, ok, so i think about every post i'm using something i havent gotten around to using yet. do i shop too much?). But i was thrilled with how easily they came together and how easy it was. All the stamps used on the card front are from the Sweet Thing set but there are other stamps in the set that i could have used as well. I'm so glad i got this set before it retired this year!

So here's my super easy card. First i cut my 8.5 x 11 white cardstock "hot dog style". Ok, so the whole hot dog style thing is from when i used to teach sunday school. It just means cutting or folding in half the long way. Then i scored and the half way point. This is a very popular way to do cards i've seen more and more lately. Its a nice change if you've been folding your cards the "standard way" as i have been.

I stamped the circle stamp (in soft sky; SU) somewhat hap haphazardly on the front allowing some of the circles to hang over the edges. I used my swiss dots folder by cuddlebug to emboss A2 sized pieces of cardstock (this is important as a time saver if you're making multiple cards. I then cut that into thirds for my card.) I used the SU scallop border edge along the brown cardstock and layered it under the embossed cardstock. Ribbon tied around the top of the card and the stamped sentiment (in desert sand, CTMH) complete the card. I also stamped a simple Thank You in the sam brown on the inside of my card. However it could easily be switched to Congratulations or even a baby announcement.

Thanks for stopping by! And as always, comments are welcome and if you have any questions, feel free to email me!

Pre-school teacher gifts

>> Thursday, July 31, 2008

Jack had his last day of summer pre-school today. What am i going to do until September? I'll be growing more and more immobile and he'll be getting more and more bored! Ack!
I've really been so pleased with preschool this summer. Jack adores his teacher and during weeks that he does have school he asks to go or to go to "Ms Jill's house". The only downside in the fall is he goes 1 less day a week and only from 9-12 (as opposed to our summers 9-1). I'm heavily debating whether i should put him in more days or stick to the 2. Any suggestions?

ok... onto my teacher gifts. I made 6 knowing i'd need 5. There are a couple of other teachers that all work together with the classes so i wanted to be sure to thank them all, not just "Ms Jill". A friend of mine told me a simple gift idea she did at a stampin up demo party. She said cut some chipboard to 4x4 or 5x5 square. Cover the front and back with paper. Use a binder clip to hold a post it pad on. Cover the binder clip with a scallop circle and stamped image on a circle. Viola. So thats what i made! I believe they even used this cherry print from SU along with the cherry stamp from the tart n tangy set. I covered the back with real red cardstock (the same cardstock i used for my card base. Edges are inked with Colorbox Pigment Inks. And i punched out some photo corners using my SU punch out of real red and the scallop circle is also real red. I really was super pleased at how fast and easy this was to put together!

Any other questions, feel free to ask!

Coaster Frame

>> Wednesday, July 9, 2008

This is a frame i made out of cork coasters from the dollar store. We will also be doing this project at my upcoming stamp camp on sunday. :)

first of all, this frame didnt photograph nearly as pretty as it is in person. I still think it needs some extra touches, but there are lots of layers that are popped up with pop dots, but the flash washed it all out so you cant see all the dimension.

Supplies:
Paper: Boom-di-ada Paper from Close to My Heart
Cardstock is Autumn Terracotta by Close to My Heart
Stamps: Cottage florals by Close to my Heart
Spot on Backgrounds by Close to my Heart
Sentiment from SU (let me get the name of the set and get back to you!)
Inks: Chocolate, Autumn Terracotta, HollyHock, Garden Green all Close to My Heart
Brad: is Colonial White by Close to My Heart
Ribbon is Very Vanilla by SU

Tips and Tricks
Anytime I use a mask with a stamp project, i stamp my image to be cut out on good thick cardstock and then store it with the stamp set. That way the next time i want to use the stamp set, i dont have to go thru the trouble of cutting out another mask. For this project, i cut out an image of the main flower and laid it on top of the stamped one in the picture and stamped on top to make my leaves.

To add extra dimension to popped out flowers, wet the edges with a fine mist water bottle (i use evian in a spray can - really meant for your face ) After the edges are dampened, you can then pinch the petal tips to get a cool flower look.

Tired of solid stamp images? Use a background stamp to kiss off some of the ink. Simply ink up your solid stamp, and then stamp the solid stamp onto your background stamp. Some ink will remain on your solid stamp and then the pattern will appear when you stamp your image onto your paper.

Coffee Bag Inspiration

>> Friday, July 4, 2008

I was inspired by a recent PaperTrey Ink challenge of altering and decorating coffee bags. Of course the design team of PTI is absoluletly outstanding so i wont even pretend to think my coffee bag is better than any of theirs! Each design team member came up with a creative use for their coffee bag. One planted a seedling... 1 used it as a cookie gift bag, another for amish bread, etc. I was pretty literal with my... i used it as a *gasp* coffee bag! haha. I wanted to give my dad some yummo coffee and i thought it would be more fun to decorate the bag first. PTI sells some great versions of coffee bags (as well as other gift giving items to alter). Some of the bags are white, others are the "kraft" color. Some have windows and some do not. My coffee bag is one that i snuck away from BiLo (the grcoery store by my house) and in fact i snuck 8 away because i'm cheap. haha. The quality probably isnt as nice at PTI's but they were lined with plastic so that is a plus. I will be using the other bags in coordination with the stamp camp i mentioned in a previous blog entry.

Ok, onto the coffee bag deets...

Supplies:
Coffee Bag from BiLo
Coffee Talk stamp set from Close to My Heart
(coffee beans are from the Gel A Tin's Coffee & Tea stamp set)
Martha Stewart 18x18 cardstock (to cut the strip to go around the coffee bag)
Other scrap paper (i used blue bayou from SU and Colonial White from CTMH)
Brads by Spare Parts
Chocolate Grosbrain ribbon (CTMH)
Distressed Lines embossing folder & cuddlebug machine
Inks: CTMH bamboo, chocolate, grey flannel, SU blue bayou and chocolate chip

I'm loving image swaps lately! One stampers sends you some images of one of her stamps and you send her images of one of yours. It's a fab way to up your stamp collection all for the cost of a postage stamp and not the real rubber stamp! :)

This image is from a retired SU set that i've been eyeing for awhile. It's called Sweet Treats. But now i have some images of the ice cream cone from Lori Lynn Washburn to satisfy my taste buds for awhile.

For this one, i used my derwent watercolor pencils and aqua painter. I also used my new threading water punch by Fiskars (sent to me by my wonderful friend, Kim Stewart). the sentiment is from a Studio G set.

Enjoy!

Oh my - i cant believe it's been so long since i've posted! Well, at least there is good reason. I've been doing makeup like crazy (which i think most of you know, but thats my actual job!)

I had 6 jobs of bridal trials, portraits and other makeup jobs last week, a large wedding on saturday and then 2 back to back portraits yesterday, one this afternoon, a consultation tomorrow and then another bridal portrait on thursday. PHEW! Its wedding season, thats for sure!!!!

I've also been hard at work redoing my craft room which means lots of purging! It was just crazy in there!!!! Its coming together, but not done yet. I'll be sure to post pictures when it is.

I'm also happy to say that my first stamp designs will be coming out hopefully by the end of June! I'm so excited for this release! But the busy-ness of the rest of my summer has me working overtime, so hopefully i do hit that date! With any luck i can be a week or 2 early! :)

Ok - onto my cards. These were super quick cards i actually made before the bride brigade began, but i hadnt been able to edit them for the computer. The were really dark so they needed some photoshop help to lighten them up. :)

Anywhoo - here they are. Both use the Enjoy Life set from Stampin Up!

Our Big Announcement!

Well i know i've announced we'll be having a baby in September but yesterday we had our ultrasound appointment and got to find out what we're having!

I made this little card for our announcement... i'm not very pleased with the picture quality as i cant find my camera and had to borrow my husbands (a better camera than mine, but i dont know it's settings). Still... here's our big announcement...

These are the cards i created for a basket auction being held at my church. All the proceeds go to help out the youth group with their mission trip. I was pleased with how they came out. I kept them relatively simple without too many layers, but sometimes i really like the simple look.

The first one was made as a birth announcement. There are 8 of them in the basket with 10 matching envelopes. The paper is Candlelight Bazzill for the main card and Brown Bazzill behind the image. The stamps are from Stampin Up's Bundle of Joy set. I just ADORE this set! I used misc embellishments like velvet ribbon, buttons and a paperclip to finish the card off. The bear was colored with Copic markers.
