It's day 2 of the sneak peeks for September from Paper Makeup Stamps.
Today we are peeking the When There is Nothing Left to Say sentiment set and there is a chance to WIN this set over on the Company Blog, so you will want to check that out!
Now... here's a peek of the whole set...
I'm VERY excited about this set for multiple reasons! For one... it's my brain child! haha! I did everything myself playing with lots of fonts until I found the ones i thought were perfect! It's actually been a while since i completely designed a stamp set all on my own! So yes, i am very proud of myself! hahahahahaha! The other reason i'm very excited is because of the idea of this set. It is meant to cover those "tricky" cards. The ones when you want the perfect sentiment, and you just keep coming up short! So you resort to writing your own! Well no more! This set isnt just about sympathy or i'm sorries. It's just a set when you want to say the perfect thing to someone!
Here is my card for today...
I love the way my card turned out (but i like it a lot better in person... i HATE it when your cards turn shy when the camera is on them!) The paper was a small sheet i snagged from my mom so it was likely from a DCWV pack... the texture feels like it is. But i'm so sorry i'm not sure what pack! The paper is CAH-UTE though!
The branches and tree limbs in the patterned paper design inspired me to pull out an ancient sizzix die! I love this die, and always forget that i have it, or that it can even run thru my cuddlebug!
I inked the edges of the leaves before adhering them to the branch and used a white colored pencil to add a highlight.
The sentiment from the set i stamped onto kraft cardstock and sponged the edges with Baja Breeze ink by Stampin Up.
Keeping to the rule of 3's, I added 3 buttons tied with Twine adjacent to the branch.
So there you have it! My card for the day!
Have a fantastic day!
