If you are looking for my My Time Made Easy Blog Hop Post, scroll down.
So last time's challenge from the Copic Creations team was a little well.. CHALLENGING!
Challenges are supposed to be that way! For those that did enter, be sure to check out the Copic Creations blog to find out the winner of the last challenge.
The challenge this turn is to color Pleats or Folds and we are being sponsoring by Stamping Scrapping and they are giving away not 1 but 2 prizes for the winner's choice Magnolia Tilda or Edwing from the Bon Voyage collection and an additional surprise! In honor of this prize, the CC team have all use Magnolia images for our cards today!
Here's mine...
Since the challenge is to color pleats or folds, i chose this Magnolia image that i actually received in a magnolia image swap but I thought she was just perfect with the folds in her shirt and then again in her hairbow.
The biggest thing to remember when coloring a pleat or fold is that where there is a shadow, there must also be a highlight on the opposite side. This is because when the fabric bends and the lowest point (that is your shadow) there has to be a highest point which of course is going to be your highlight.
Following this "rule" will give your colored image a lot of dimension.
For this image i used the following colors...
Skin: E00, E21, E000
Hair: E21, E25, E27
Shirt, Bow & Patches: R81, R85, R89
Pants: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99
Shoes & Hat: E31, E55, E57
Now be sure to check out the rest of the Copic Creations design team with all they have in store for you today... and even if you weren't here looking for my My Time Made Easy blog hop post, go ahead and scroll down. Lauren has hidden 2 $50 gift certificates!!!! You just might find one of them!
