My Time Made Easy Group Post! Homemade card cut file!

>> Thursday, September 9, 2010

You know it's happen to you and one of your besties... maybe it's a best friend who lives down the street, maybe a best friend who lives across the country. Time gets in the way. Life gets in the way. And all the sudden you think, it's been HOW LONG since i talk to _____?!
Well, thats what this card is for. Setting up a phone date! Just calling out of the blue might work fine, if you friend happens to have that hour free! But let's be honest here, who has an extra hour unscheduled in their lives? So why not make a phone date! Where you know the 2 of you plan to chat on the phone for an hour or more. You can even hit up starbucks before hand, or heck, GO to starbucks to do your phone date so you dont have interference from your "loved" ones!
I think maybe the world needs more phone dates. :D

This idea was inspired in my brain by the stamp set On Display by My Time Made Easy.
It has a super cute phone image in the set, and the sentiment "Let's Chat". So i knew i definitely wanted to use these stamps! MTME also released a super cute cut file for making a card. It comes with a little envelope, card for inside and separate roof piece. Put together, it looks like this...
So see the card... you simply slide it out! How adorable is that! Here is my inside...

DETAIL SHOTS

Now i'm going to show you a few detail shots... just so you don't miss any of the fun!

This is part of the inside of my card... in the On Display set, there is also the word Hello. I knew i didnt want just a white box, but that i did want something that i could write a note on. So i took the "hello" and inked it up in a much lighter purple ink. It's almost hard to see, but it's there. So the words wont compete with what i write on the note later! The phone is the same phone image i used on the front of the house envelope.
Now for some house front details!
Earlier this week i used the Home Improvement set... A LOT! This time i wanted to be sure to use different elements you hadnt seen yet (well, seen from me anyway).
Let's start with the polka dot roof! I'm not sure i'm the best repetition stamper, but these stamps are just so easy to pattern! The polka dots are 4 lines that i just stamped over and over to get the overall polka dot pattern. The Let's Chat is from the before mentioned On Display set and the label is from the Lost My Tooth set. I love how interchangeable these sets are!
Well i didnt really take another picture of the overall front view of the house envelope so you may need to scroll up. Also included in this set a large square perfect to create a window. 2 stamps that make super cute curtains (but other things too!) a window box, grass for the window box, some flowers for the window box all of which i used to create my window and window box. How many times can i type window in 1 paragraph? haha! I used some foam adhesive to get some added dimension. The wood panelling on my house also came from the Home Improvement set.

SO, thats my card for ya! Be sure to check out the whole team today as they all have some fun creations for you!!!! Links are in my sidebar!

Thanks for sharing the link, but unfortunately it seems to be offline... Does anybody have a mirror or another source? Please answer to my post if you do!

I would appreciate if a staff member here at papermakeup.blogspot.com could post it.

Thanks,
Peter

Phone date...I love it!! And I would totally love having my phone date at SB even more - lol. The only thing better is the card you made to plan it -- love the dimension - and that you put the phone in the window...too cute :)
