It's Paper Makeup Stamps birthday!!!! 2nd post for the day!

I can not believe that my little baby is 1 year old today!!!! One short year ago i made my first PMS blog post saying that the company was live!!!

I have made some of the most wonderful friends thru starting my own company! I'm not going to lie.... its a little bit more work that i think i imagined, but it's been so much fun.

Plus i've had the ability to help others. And that means more than anything to me!

As you already read, we decided to ask each design team member to make a card with their favorite stamp. When it came time to make my card i suddenly thought.... what?! I cant pick just 1 favorite!!!!???!!! My original plan was to use my Katie Fairy! I love my katie fairy! It's me! In a stamp! But unfortunatly, i didnt end up with the time to color my katie fairy. ahah. But this is my absolute favorite of all the stamp sets.... Raindrops and Rainbows.

This card was so much fun to make, but actually relatively simple.

First i cut all of my strips of cardstock and adhered them to a thin white piece of cardstock.

I then ran it thru my cuttlebug and one of my new sizzix embossing folders (it's similar to the CB swiss dot, but the dots are a little bit larger and further spaced apart). This made sure that my texture was consistent between each piece of cardstock so that it was a whole.

I then sponged the edges with black just to get it a more refined look and to help hide the white cardstock lying underneath my colored layers. :)

I then layered my sentiment and image together using my stampamajig because i wanted it fit snugly in there and not be all wonky. I used my copics to color thin strips of color within the rainbow image. Then i used my labels 9 nestie to cut it out.

The clouds are also stamps in the set. They were stamped on separate white cardstock, then cut and adhered directly on top of my textured background.

I still felt like my card needed just a smidgen extra and I wanted to help bring out the sponged black edges as well as the black card base, so i used a swiss dot black grosgrain ribbon to tie along the bottom of the card and 3 black blings up at the top to keep the "weight" equally distributed on the card.

So thats what i've done with just one of my favorite sets! but really there are so many fun stamps, images, wordarts to choose from. I'm really proud of what we have to offer!
