I'm back!

>> Monday, March 26, 2012

Well, weddings are in full swing in these parts of the country and not that i've been an avid poster as of late anyway, but I'm sorry i had to miss last weeks digi makeover challenge post. Things just got crazier than I had anticipated! Since my business tripled last year (NOT complaining!) i'm still trying to figure out how to balance home life with work life with crafting (my time!) life! It's hard!

Anyhoo - you don't want to hear about all that SOOOO, here is my card for this weeks Digi Makeoever Challenge!

This week the digi challenge team was challenged to created a card for a boy. Easy enough! My life is surrounded by boy things! Its part of what made me want to start a stamp company to begin with! I needed more girlie things to play with, AND I never could find the boy stamps to play with when i needed them! SO I knew if i started my own company, i could have my fairies and girlies ideas come to life, but i definitely needed a world of monsters!
My card today uses Eyepod... one of my all time favorite monsters. He's so fun!
I simply typed my sentiment and printed it out. :D

Be sure to check out the PMS company blog for more inspiration for this challenge!

Another Digi Makeover challenge

>> Monday, March 12, 2012

HOLY MOLY! I don't know that I have been this tired in a long time! For those who like hearing about my makeup artist adventures read this paragraph and those who could care less can just skip down to the next paragraph/ :D On thursday I had 2 photoshoots, 1 that i did the makeup and the other that i did both makeup and photography. Friday I had another makeup and photoshoot (this time of a mom (makeup) and baby! so excited for those to edit!) and bridal consult and then this weekend I had a bridal portrait makeup, and 2 additional weddings and bridal consult saturday and then a wedding and bridal consult today. My brushes are just about maxed out but good thing not entirely because i have makeup for a photoshoot at 6:30 am tomorrow! PHEW!

But that didn't stop me from doing my challenge card for the Digi Makeover challenge!
Our challenge leader Michelle has challenged us this week to use Critters on our cards. Now they do not need to literally be from the PMS retro cutie critters collection (though mine is) but any animal will do. Here is my card!

Given the short time span I had this past week and weekend... i opted to enlarge the digi image so it would be the focal point of the card. I didn't even fuss with layers and decorative paper! I just thought a pretty pink ribbon would be enough!

I used Olive from the retro cutie critter collection and a sentiment from the So Sweet set.
Olive was colored using copic markers.

So go to the company blog to read the details and get started!

And now here is my Spring Inspired card for you...

This is Caliope with a flower. I heart this stamp. Just looking at it makes me smile.
I've paired it with one of my favorite sentiments that PMS has. It reads "you make this world a better place". I honestly can't think of a better compliment than that and would be most honored if anyone sent me a card that said it!

I colored the image with copic markers (Caliope is R81, 83, 85 and 89 for those who may be wondering!)

Now it's time to hop along your spring filled journey to Britt's amazing blog! I must say that britt FLOORS me with her cards week after week for the digi makeover challenge! So i cant wait to see what she has in store for us today!!!

DigiMakeover Challenge: Clean and Simple

>> Monday, March 5, 2012

Monday monday...... bah dah, dum dum dum dah
That would be me singing Mamma's and the Papa's.

Anyhoo - it's monday and that means it's time for another Digi Makeover Challenge.
Today, Michelle challenges up to create a clean and simple card!
Lately i've been loving the CAS cards... so this was right up my ally! AND I am in the need of a card to take to my sweet friend and former PMS paper makeup artist, Ginger Schwerin. She just had a baby and I've been DYING to get over there to see him!

Here is my card...

I used Baby Jamie Silhouette along with the Congratulations on your new addition digital word art.
Again, I love using digs for changing the size as I made the word art larger on this card than the rubber stan version, but the true reason of the digi stamps reign on this card is the silhouette stamp. Sometimes solid stamps can be such a pain to ink up evening. A digi stamp just print crisp and solid. And i love that!

Be sure to check out the team's cards and their amazing CAS creations today on the Company Blog!

My Time Made Easy: Spreading Spring Cheer

>> Friday, March 2, 2012

WHEW! Sorry my post is a bit late going up.... my internet was down all afternoon yesterday, BLEH! and I finally gave up at about 12:30. I just couldn't keep my eyes open! Luckily for me, i awoke to that lovely blue light on my router! WOOHOO!

Well, if you didn't already know... the March release for My Time Made Easy is live and available for purchase on the website. Today some of the design team members are showing off more projects using the new templates, papers and digi stamps.

Here is my project just using a part of the template Well Contained. I'm only using the base/holder of the template for this project. View THIS POST to see my project using both pieces of this template.

Here is my project complete together with the candle i purchased for inside. For the record... i don't recommend using paper products as candle holders. This is just as a gift holder. :D

I used paper from the Spreading Spring Cheer printable paper pack. And since i'm not exactly a spring time color person, i used a dark grey card stock as my base. There are some greys in both of these papers chosen (lighter greys than my card stock) but I thought they would play together well and still have a me element in there. I'm hopelessly addicted to grey. haha!

Here is a shot without the candle inside...
I used paper to line the entire inside of the template including the base. I thought this gave a nice pop of color behind the candle and also made it able to serve for another purpose after the candle is removed.
Here is a quick shot of the back. You might notice since I used one of the oval digi stamps from the Round and Round set on the front. Prior to cutting, i actually removed the the oval cut out from the template using my SCAL software, but i still felt like the back was a bit drab in comparison to the bright colors of the front, so I used more of the gorgeous butterfly paper from the pack to also cover the back.

OK... now check out these fine and fabulous ladies and their awesome creations today!

My Time Made Easy: Spring is Here!

>> Thursday, March 1, 2012

Spring is HERE! Well, at least it almost is and it sure feels like it around South Carolina!

Today is the new release day for the latest My Time Made Easy!

Today I'm showing off the new template Round and Round...

I also paired this with the Round Off digi stamp set which has lots of fun oval shapes and different sentiments to perfectly fit inside!

Here's an opened view of my package...
And then one more shot of the package empty.... because Lauren thinks of it all! She made sure to design this template so that it looks completely polished from outside and in! It works great to use double sided printed card stock (either that you create yourself using the pretty printable paper packs or other good quality card stock. Mine here is October Afternoon. Check back tomorrow for some using the newest paper from MTME!

Be sure to check out the entire design team and their amazing creations today!
